The Afya Imara plan is a standard health insurance plan aimed at putting your needs first, keeping you happy and healthy.
Afya Imara Family cover is an enhanced medical insurance cover for Families.
It covers day and inpatient hospitalization, maternity, outpatient treatment, optical and dental with enhanced limits for chronic conditions including cancer.
What you get with Afya Imara
Our standards dictate that, the standard health insurance plan should always put you and your needs first. So we made Afya Imara, to keep you happy and healthy, each step of the way.
Inpatient
You can choose from four cover limits. They include; KES.500, 000, KES.1M, KES.3M, KES.5M and KES. 10M. This is shared within a family.
Outpatient
You can choose from three cover limits. They include; KES.50, 000, KES.60, 000, KES.100, 000, KES.150, 000 and KES.200, 000. This can be per either individual or shared within a family .
Dental and optical
Routine dental and optical services including cost of frames and lenses covered within the outpatient benefit.
Maternity
Maternity benefit has been provided as an additional benefit within the inpatient cover. The benefit shall cater for all pregnancy-related treatment and admissions up to the maternity limit provided.
This is subject to a 1-year waiting period.
Medical expenses we pay for you
- Diagnostics and physiotherapists fees, prescribed drugs, dressings, surgical appliances.
- The hospitalisation expenses we pay for include; surgery, theatre, physician, ICU & HDU fees.
- We also pay for inpatient expenses from diagnostics and physiotherapy, prescribed drugs, dressings & surgical appliances.
- After a year with the cover, we will cover expenses from pre-existing conditions, chronic conditions & HIV/Aids.
Other expenses we cover
- We pay for accommodation of parent/guardian accompanying a child below 12 years.
- Air evacuation for cover limits of KES. 3M and above.
- Road evacuation for all cover limits.
- Overseas referral to India or to any listed hospitals.
